Noémi Büchi is a Swiss/French composer and sound artist exploring cross-genre musical structures. Her work combines textural rhythms with electroacoustic orchestral abstraction, balancing physical intensity with disruption and subtle irregularities. She juxtaposes layered analog synth textures, crystal-clear tones, and raw noise within structures that sometimes echo pop forms. Her music creates immersive sound architectures that merge complexity with accessibility, reflecting on impermanence and the materiality of sound.

Her musical work moves in the fields of electroacoustic composition, live performances, audiovisual shows, music for film, music for contemporary dance, music for installations, fashion shows and for ensemble or orchestral works.
Her music has been presented in concert halls, festivals, and institutional contexts across the world, positioning her practice between experimental electronic music and contemporary classical performance. Alongside solo works, she collaborates with ensembles and performers, developing projects that translate her compositional language into different performative and spatial formats.

She has been  invited to perform at renowned international festivals such as Ars Electronica, MUTEK, L.E.V. Festival, CTM, Variations Festival or Biennale Némo, as well as at world-renowned museums including the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid in Spain, the Musée d’Art de Nantes in France, the Pavillon le Corbusier in Zürich, Switzerland or the Culture Station Seoul 284 in South Korea.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology and German literature/linguistics and a Master’s degree in Electroacoustic Composition, where she developed her compositional voice at the intersection of sound research, technology, and artistic practice.

She currently lives and works between Basel, Zürich and Paris.
